My Assignment 1 - updated...

*Save Energy, Reduce Temperature*

So, after some hard efforts on the symbol and few consultation and guidance from Mdm.Ling, I've completed my symbol..Thanks to Madam for all the guidance..

All new and updated symbol. Here it is:

My aspect of Global Warming is " Energy Saving "..

It is globally known that excessive usage of energy increases the heat and the temperature of this world..And it is one of the main cause of Global Warming.

Based on my symbol, it represents two things actually:

1. The energy saving bulb( fluorescent bulb ), which can save 75% less energy than standard light bulbs and lower the enrgy bills. The light orange yellowish colour showing us the small amount of heat released by it which can help to control our global temperature level. Thus, we can prevent Global Warming.

2.The windmilll which is used for electricity generation naturally without harming the environment could reduce the temperature level as well.. The green colour shows us the natural process of the windmill to produce energy and at the same time reminding us to care and protect our green environment, one of God's beautiful gift to the earth and human being.

* In a nutshell, all of us should start to save energy by using fluorescent bulb in our houses and governments should do more project on building windmill farms to make this world a better place without Global Warming.

My Sketches and Ideas (Assignment 1) - updated...

Well, this is my newest version of my assignment 1..
after the presentation, I had a discussion with Mdm.Ling and I realised that my 1st symbol with the question mark is not abstract and I should do a better symbol to get A.
So, as a result, the next day itself i started to sketch few symbols by refering to a book I borrowed from Mdm.Ling. This is the symbol that I came up with.

It shows that the earth inside crying like a baby which needed to be taken care of and the leaves as the windmill concept. But, after some consultation and guidance from Mdm.Ling, I decided to do something different rather than putting the earth crying.. An energy saving Bulb!!

These are few examples of the windmill and the bulb pictures.:

My Assignment 1

The Meaning Behind The Symbol:

*The Question Mark- It Sparks A question to the viewer itself on "What" are we suposse to do to reduce the global warming.. And "When" are we going to realise that the world is dying day by day...We have to take action as soon as possible and save this world..
* The drip Of Water - This is my aspect of global warming. A drip of water.
Most of us are not realising that the water level in our world is decreasing day by day due to the increase of temperature globally. So, we have to appreciate even a drip of water nowadayas for a better future ahead..
* The Missing Top of the Mountain - Shows that the ice is melting dramatically due to global warming.
* The sun - The main source or cause of global warming. Because of its sunray which passes through the ozon layer.

The Colours
*
Blue - symbolizes the colour of the water n peaceful environment that we should bring to this world.
* Red, Orange And Yellow - Symbolizes the sun and the heat released by it.

My Sketches and Ideas..

"Aspects of Global Warming"
That was the topic given to us..
A drip of water and a question mark is my idea..:D
These are the few beginning sketches that I did...
~ This sketch I did during our 1st class with Dr.Ken while taking notes..The starting point..
~ And this is the following sketch I did on the next week. Trying to put something related to solar energy.. I found it a bit complicated.. those writings are the overall descriptions of the symbol..
~ So, i came up with this simple symbol.. which needed a few touch up on it..
~ As a result, i came up with the symbol below after consulting with our great lecturer, Dr.Ken..:D

My References

1st of all..
references... to be frank here, my references was my brain..
i used to create things myself and come up with something new..
and so do for this assignment.. i did refer through few web pages, but i came up with my own idea.
the result is a simple symbol with a question mark in front of a melting iceberg and a drip of water..
we were asked to complete this assignment with the topic " Aspects Of Global Warming"..
So, i choose a drip of water and a question mark for my assignment..:D
these are the web pages that i was referring to:
